how everyone is hating on 3OH!3.
people obviously don’t understand.
they’re not doing the popular thing now of hiding behind the ‘i play my own music’ facade that seems to be plaguing a lot of bands. they really don’t hide anything, they’re not trying to be something great or say that they are amazing musicians. they make that pretty obvious during live shows when they skip tracks on their ipod.
you have to admit it too, their stuff is very very catchy. but what is music? it’s a business and these guys didn’t graduate the top of the class from CUBoulder for nothing. this is the smartest business venture i’ve see in a long time and crowds are just eating it up. last year at warped, no one knew who they were yet they were still the sleeper hit of the whole tour. you didn’t hear their songs on the radio, hell, i don’t think 3/4ths of the genre had ever heard of them before. this year? bamboozle? main stage on warped tour? way to go guys.
They use an iPod during their shows? That’s…that’s just sad. Music itself shouldn’t be a buisiness venture. If you don’t care about being a musician, why should I care about your music? Oh, great. You figured out how to make a bunch of 16 year old girls and musical retards who can’t even understand when to clap think you’re pretty swell? I’ll listen to someone who has actual talent. Talent for music. Actual music. No offense to people who actually like this particular brand of crap, you just suffer from H.A.A.A.
